One line poem as a sculpture:
by Devin Kenny
I found a 10 foot long, 3 foot high, 2” diameter, freestanding rod of rebar, painted white though now very worn, bent to resemble a staple as it would look if removed from a stack of papers by hand without that little brown claw office supply; it made me think of the hundreds of cover letters, CVs and resumes I printed on 8.5 x 11” in those dark white days, how many of them had what I neurotically-read as syntactical errors, how many had typos, and all of the ones I corrected, followed by a full reprinting.
